WELCOME TO ROCKVOX . EU

 

Rockvox.eu is set online at the beginning of 2009. Its main aim is to offer updated information about what is happening, basically, in the European alternative music scene, to the wide Spanish-speaking public.

Rockvox.eu becomes a new brother of the chilean website Blondie.cl which after almost ten years online, decides to focus on the national issues and events only and opens a big door for a new site to deal with foreign events exclusively, just catching up with the old legion of Blondie's visitors.

As we think there is not enough actual and specialized music information reaching the Latin American region, available in Spanish; we decided, after years of being involved with music events and collecting valuable material, to take the responsibility of this new project and start a good quality, serious and agile website.

All the information is in Spanish language and directed to specialized media and public in the Latin American countries mainly.

This website starts by initiative of Ricardo Vargas, owner and founder, who has been photographing live bands since 2004. He has been staff photographer and correspondant for the Chilean music website Blondie.cl for the past 5 years. Besides, he collaborates with emol.com, website of the biggest newspaper in Chile; Punkglobe.com, legendary punk magazine, now online, from Los Angeles USA; Festivalphoto.net, Swedish website covering festivals and gigs and Revista Demo, music magazine from Peru. So, many links have been created in different countries these years and we think it is time to use them in a two-side beneficial way.

Rockvox.eu is based in London UK and Malmö Sweden and runs under protection of Ricardo Vargas Photography, registered in London, United Kingdom.

 

GOALS

As the interest in setting up concerts in Latin America has increased as swell as the curiosity to discover new bands, we think this is a perfect moment to open more doors in both sides. For the artists to reach a new public and for the promoters in Latin America to know about bands availability and new artists. We have as main goals:

-To cover events in which European bands are involved. Gigs, festivals, events, press conferences, etc.

-To promote the European festival scene as it works as the most important artist showcase.

-To establish this website as a plataform for the European artists interested in delivering proposed information to the Latin American market all in Spanish language

-To become a high quality photo bank with images available for all our registered media members.
